Very faulty. If I ask for the definition of 'fen' it gives me the definition for 'fan' instead. If I ask for the definition of 'burr' it solely returns that it is an abbreviatiin of bureau (rather than the common definition of a prickly fruit covering). This app needs to be fixed! Also, words that show up on Merriam Webster online do not show up in the apps dictionary. E.g. "caid". I paid for the pro version of this app, and you don't even keep the dictionary in sync with the online one.

A wonderful application my only people stems from the fact even though you've paid for the premium application they still expect you to sign up for monthly subscription.

this is 1 of the best directors l used. One thing which I want to recomend that is, whenever I open my favourite words list, the system allows me to open one word at a time which takes too much time please, make it scrolling pages, so when I open favourite list all my favourite words open, and come one by one when I scroll the screen, by only scrolling the screen be able to show me all collection. As it became the open dictionary. It ll make it more attractive.

The app is prone to mistouch. I was just simply scrolling within the app and just randomly selects other word definition. This happens most of the time.

At least one other user has the same exact complaints as I have! 1. When I open the app to search, I begin to type, usually about 3 letters, and the keyboard suddenly closes, and I have to start the search again. 2. The screen is very reactive. Any hesitant touch will open the word your finger happens to be on and away you go! Usually on some small, everyday word. 3. I am repeatedly asked to buy the upgrade even though I am signed in to my paid version. I'll be looking for something else.

I paid for the premium version. It works. There will never be a day when I want to load the app and see a prompt to subscribe to a dictionary. I repeat I paid for the premium version.

I bought this app for the thesaurus. I thought the thesaurus was gone, since I saw no button for it. However, since the developer has explained how to access it, I have been using it successfully. Since this app is more complete with both definitions and synonyms, it is my opinion that it is superior to others that I've tried. In addition, it does not collect data on me and use me as a product, which is refreshing.

The UI and UX is very decent. But it lacks in performance. When I looked for a word that never searched before, it took about 10 secs to pop out the result. Looking forward to upcoming updates

Excellent app! Really like having all my favorites synced across my devices. There is a small bug, everytime I select the search box, after a few seconds the key board minimizes. It seems to happen only in the first search after opening the app.

Very useful offline dictionary. If you use this dictionary, you no longer need to refer to a heavy weight dictionary in hard forms. It really helps while reading novels, news papers etc. Whenever one comes across a new word, one can quickly find the meaning. One the hand hand referring to a hard bound dictionary and finding a new word is quite tiring task.

i really love this App until now. i have no problems with it before but now, every time i wanted to listen to its audio pronunciation of a certain word, it doesn't work & it is frustrating cause i don't have any issues like this before.

The app would be better if it did not look up words that you touch while in the word that you are looking at. Also, if you do touch a word it doesn't give you the option to go back. You have to look the word up all over again.

Thank you for developing this great application for Android. I especially like the fact that I can use my microphone to pronounce words that I don't know how to spell. And, I also like that I can hear the pronunciation of all of the words that I search on this app. The one thing that I really don't like is that this app automatically searches any word that I touch on the screen. It's really annoying that I'm scrolling with my thumb through a definition, and this app keeps searching whatever

I quite like this app. The word games are great for enhancing my vocabulary. One feature I would certainly like to see is support for split-screen mode; it would be convenient for me to keep a dictionary open while I read on my phone.

I'm quite happy with this app. One payment to remove ads is great. That said, I just switched back from iOS to Android, and I really miss the kids/legal/medical dictionaries you get with the subscription. I'd happily pay the same rate for those on Android, either in this app or a separate one.

Noah Webster would be proud of he were around today to see this app in action. The "extras" like word of the day and games are entertaining and fun. While "the guts" are simple and easy to use. I find the pronunciation clips very useful and the word history fascinating and intriguing. Also includes a thesaurus which is convenient.

A tremendous resource inside a great app. Ad free is worth a few dollars. Games are a good beginning. Hope they continue to develop. After enjoying Merriam-Webster's podcast, Word Matters, for as many months as it's been running, am really glad I downloaded this. Well done, all the way around.

I love this app so much! It is fantastic that if you do not know how to spell a word but know how to say it, you can use the microphone option, and if you know how to spell it but not say it, the pronunciation is right there (phonetically and audibly). Definitons are clear, and the etymology or background of where a word came from is fascinating! I love vocabulary and this app has grown my vocabulary base and understanding exponentially!
