It Appears that there are less call protection settings available on the free version since the last update. There used to be an option for allowing or blocking private numbers and other options. Those appear gone now and now there is just on or off. The option to allow only contacts is greyed out. Now there is an upgrade button to pay if you want more options. I think I'd rather have the old version back. Maybe this will work somehow. Time will tell. Program has always worked well for me.

What happened? I've used this app for many years with no issues. Now, many calls don't show up in the Inbox, History, Spam, or Blocked when I know 100% that there were calls. So, I have Zero confidence that this app is even working as intended, this has been going on for months. No clue what they did, but it was excellent for over a decade, but now it's become a detriment. Hoping they address the issues, or I'll save some space and delete it.

Works great, and easy to set up. However, both S20's it's on constantly say there's new voicemail, when in fact there aren't any. Clearing the cache does nothing, so it's a slight inconvenience to have to open the app every time to see if there's a message missed. Also, there's only a chatbot for help, I cannot find a way to email for support through the app (live chat is available if you pay for premium). Other than that, it'd be 5 stars.

I have tried this app on 2 or 3 phones over a period of 4 years or so and now I'm done. I keep hoping they'll fix the recurring issue where I don't get voicemails until it feels like randomly letting me know some amount of days or weeks later, but today I discovered I missed a very important call yesterday and I can't do it anymore. This has happened on each phone, but I keep trying it again because the app gets good reviews. I can't risk it anymore. Fix your app, it doesn't work. On top of that, I can't listen to voicemails in my car. I don't know whose fault it is, but as soon as the voicemail starts, my phone opens and starts playing music even if I close all apps and restart my phone. I guess I'll just stick to dialing my voicemail the old fashioned way until someone comes up with a VV app that actually works for android.

When it worked, it worked great. This may be more an issue with T-mobile than YouMail. I was with Sprint and it worked just fine, after the merger, we had some issues. After getting T-mobile SIMS, terrible, almost never worked. Now I cannot get VM at all, with any app or even standard VM. I have spent HOURS with T-mobile tech support over 2 days, and still nothing. If you have T-mobile, stay away.

I got this app more than a year ago because I purchased a new Android Galaxy S8 plus dual SIM phone and it didn't have the visual voicemail. All of my other galaxies phone had this feature and I loved it. I travel a lot and visual voicemail makes it really easy to have the voicemail come up when I'm in Wi-Fi instead of having to call into the system to get my voicemails. I'm back in the United States now and realizing that I have missed a whole lot of calls that this app has put somewhere that I can't find. I deleted the app and still can't get my voicemails they still go to Youmail but I can't retrieve them! I try to play the messages that Youmail does have recorded for me in the app and it just keeps processing and processing and processing them but they'll actually never play. So I can see that I have a message but some will play and some will not! There's also no way to call people back from the actual voice mail app which is kind of inconvenient if you don't have a pen. You are also not able to copy and paste it. It sounds like an amazing app if it would work correctly. If the free app would work correctly I would probably purchase the upgraded version but it doesn't!

It's free. I thought this was a decent app but something recently happened where several new messages were downloaded from weeks/months before that I had never seen/heard before. Two were fairly critical. I like the convenience of reading a voicemail without listening to it, but if I'm going to be missing messages, then the it's not worth the convenience. Will have to look for something better.

I have had You mail for just a couple of weeks. So far it is working just fine. I really enjoy the voice mail feature that prints out the voice mails for you. My phone's original voice mail was a listen only feature, but the problem with that is sometimes you can't understand what the message is saying due to someone speaking too fast, speaking with a strong accent, not pronouncing words well, etc. With You mail, you just read the message. Yes, highly recommend You mail to anyone.

the features set is fantastic. I find though that the interface is a little opaque. It's of course the oh so trendy 'clean' look, so it's hard to tell where all the options are and how to use them. (thanks Google and Apple...) I'd much prefer a functional and easy to use interface, but it does more than other apps for less money, and does them without glitching, so I'm generally pretty happy. I got a response to the review looking for further details within a few hours. Very positive..
