Fantastic app, love the ability to save songs in folders Edit: dropped the review down from 5 stars to 3 because of a tiny bug. Whenever you switch audio sources outside the app (like from phone speaker to headphones or a Bluetooth speaker in the settings) it will undo any changes you've made to the beat samples (and revert to the default high tone on the 1 and low tone on subsequent beats) until you reopen the app.

Uninstalled After a recent update the app regularly freaked out; it had functionality problems in both meter and subdivision selection (it would not allow me to change the meter and several subdivisions simply no longer existed though they were clearly in the drop menu.) Also, the final straw was when the app catastrophically crashed my phone during a lesson. I'm lucky the student was a software engineer and I was able to recover the phone. Don't use this metronome.

The app would get 5 stars except for 2 things, which are critical to a metronome. The whole point of a metronome is to learn how to stay in sync with a consistent beat. But this app randomly plays its beat sound out of beat. Also, the flashing visual cues are off beat. I can at leastturn my screen off for the second issue, but the first issue is unavoidable and defeats the purpose of a metronome.

I use the metronome app along with the drummer in my band. I generally like the functioning of the app and find it relatively easy to use. There could be a few improvements (e.g., prompting you that you must explicitly save changes to a setlist rather than having your changes saved automatically). But overall the UI is decent and not that hard to figure out. I do have a real problem with one feature and the support has been truly inferior. Sharing set lists doesn't work. Support was worthless.

Superb! An outstanding app for any budding or experienced musician. You can set any speed or time signature, and emphasize any, all, or none of the clicks. If you are a musician, or hoping to be one, get this app. One note; some buttons appear to be grayed out, and therfore unavailable. Not so. It just means you haven't sel it.

I'm a drummer looking for a programmable metronome app to replace my Yamaha Clickstation. I tried a LOT of different ones and this was by far the best of the bunch. Used it for the first time last night, really liked it and will be using it again. To make it perfect though (at least for me) there are a few of things that I'd really love to see. You can't choose to hear one subdivision but see another. Choosing to hear quavers results in double flashes which are impossible to follow. I had to reprogramme the library songs just play crotchets as I couldn't follow the visual cue at all. This is the closest thing to a deal-breaker with this app to be honest. There is a slight delay (even with power saving off!) between hitting play and the click starting. (Galaxy S5) - this makes it difficult to resync mid-song. Can we have a MUTE button on the interface to kill/restore the sound without stopping the click? PLEASE either allow syncing to a cloud account OR have an import/export option OR let us know where the songs/setlists are stored so we can backup the library/copy to another phone. Love this app though - thank you! (PS I'd buy a paid version to support development!)

Everything about the app was good. From amazing features to customizable accents. Though I was disappointed by subdivisions. 4/2, 4/4, 4/8 (simple time signatures) have the same metric beats to each other. Can you fix this please?? Also, sometimes when I change or turn the tempo button, the audio and visual beats dont sync with each other especially when falling back to downbeat. Fix this bug please!! But besides that, It's by far the best app I've downloaded.

I used Soundbrenner for YEARS across multiple devices. Had hundreds of songs saved; I eventually even bought their high end watch (big mistake, such a poor product). Recently they locked all the decent features behind a subscription service. This went from being an app I would recommend to anyone without hesitation, to a company I will go out of my way to make sure people avoid at all costs. Such a shame to see how they have fallen to greed.

I am a music teacher and I am looking for a metronome app for my students that has a voice counting out loud. This app includes this feature and it works well if you're only playing quarter notes. However, when setting the metronome to use eighth notes the voice counts as "11 22 33 44" instead of "1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and", which is how most music students are taught to count. If using "and" for the second eighth note was an option, I would have kept this app.
