its a misfortune to be forced to use this vpn. dumb software choices all around. fake security posturing. just cos its inconvenient doesnt mean its more secure.

It's impossible to use authenticator app for 2FA. If you will switch between the apps you will need to start everything over again. Seems like done on purpose.
