I downloaded this for emergency use only, as I occasionally go hiking on trails and such, but out of the blue I started getting inundated with notifications from the app (on a daily basis). I disabled them through phone settings yet somehow it reverts back every week or so and the notifications keep coming(?!). Your app is not at all relevant to me for daily usage, and if I manually set restrictions for no notifications I shouldn't get them. I'm seriously considering uninstalling.

Just playing with it after seeing an article on local BBC news about a local sea rescue, were the teenagers in the inflatable downloaded the app and gave the code to the coadt gaurd. They were promptly rescued successfully (darkness falling and rising tides). Very accurate. I had seen/heard about it previously, and has multiple uses. Impressive. Takes alot to impress me with tech!

This is an excellent way to give an exact location of where you are for emergency service to find you wherever you are on the Earth!

Cannot fault this app at all. Whilst I don't regularly use it, I see it's advantages. I'm a paramedic in an ambulance control room & was surprised how often I hear callers giving our call handlers a what3words location, when they are uncertain where they are, it connects with our systems. For instance, emergencies in forests, beaches, even motorways, the app provides an exact location. Jovially, I find the words interesting & a good talking point if bored, need a conversation piece etc.

I think this app is great for when you can't use an address. But I don't see this being practical when addresses and crossroads are more accessible and easier to figure out on your own with or without a map. I think if the words were grouped together it would make it easier, like the first word was the same every 3000km then the second word was every 300km then every 3m be the third final word. Instead of the words being totally random.

I do Search And Rescue as well as recovering vehicles stuck in the woods and down trails. This app works phenomenally when subjects can't accurately describe where rescue is needed. A pin dropped on a map then screenshot can be misleading if everything looks the same (like a flat 100 acre forest). With what3words there is no mistake.

Brilliant idea! I've used what3words for years and can say that this app ranks as one of the most useful I've ever used. I've not only been able to geo-tag interesting locations to revisit, but I've also been able to save and navigate to locations not listed on Google Maps. I've sent links to friends who've been able to meet me at a parking lot or a specific entrance of a building. I'm currently working with authors and historians to locate the gravesite of the legendary US Marshall Bass Reeves in Muskogee, Oklahoma. I've proposed the use of your technology to facilitate visitations by those wanting to pay their respects. Thank you for the AMAZING work that your team does.

Good concept, but not accurate! They say that they have mapped every 3sq meters with a unique 3 words combination which will help to pinpoint the exact location. However, during navigation using a 3 word address, the accuracy fails and it ends up pointing to neighboring properties, defeating the whole puepose of high precision address sharing.
