This isn't so much a mapping app per se (like Gaia or Maps.me) as it is a map store to buy maps published by others. There is a gazillion maps available for download costing up to $30 per map (and at least in one case over $100) BUT with many published years/decades ago. If you're looking for some highly specialized maps, it may work for you. But be prepared to do a lot of searching as l search functionality is very limited. Also, the app immediately tries to force you to create an account.

I use Avenza maps exclusively when deep in the national forests of Washington and Oregon. So far flawless as far as simple location tracking or tracking a route goes.

Very easy to use for me. Finding maps isn't the easiest but I'm not the best at this stuff either. Enjoy using when riding horse trails can keep track of exactly where I am.

Great program that I use daily as a public lands manager. Very nice to create a quick map GIS map outlining the day's projects and send it to all the personal devices of our techs/contractors. My biggest issue is it needs a "SHARE" function. We often share maps in the field using bluetooth/air drop to send to each other since we work in non-signal areas. However it is time consuming and sometimes ineffective to search through smart device file managers to find the PDF and send it to another user. Every smart app has a share feature, often times for useless info. This app needs a simple share button to be able to share the current PDF map. Thanks!

I am an avid outdoorsman, hunting, hiking, camping, ect. But I have a glaring weakness, I am extremely directionally challenged! I use the Avenza flatline map and never worry anymore. It allows me to mark trails, game sightings, points of interest. And it matches up perfectly to my paper map which I of course carry for backup. Love this app!!

Totally Unusable on my Samsung s23 The app would pop closed immediately. This occurred several times at home even with good data. At our camp it did not work with internet or not. Huge disappointment.

This is a great way to access a large number of maps which might be found elsewhere in a printed form but in the app you can see your location and record where you have been. The Android app is quite fast and efficient. The maps are loaded as single downloads, unlike many GPS hiking apps which download regions. If you are lucky then many valuable maps will be available for your area of interest. The main thing I miss from this app is support for Android Auto, which would be a fantastic addition.
