I'm teaching online with a laptop with no webcam. I was originally using Droidcam, but the lag in the video drove me crazy (and to Iriun). So far I'm pretty happy with the video quality. However, I would add a few features to the Pro version to make it truly more functional and competitive with Droidcam. First, allow options for screen rotation and mirroring within the settings. Second, audio. Third, enable going back to settings without losing the camera streaming feed. Thank you!

Nice app, streams in very high quality, connects via wifi with no problem at all, the screen on the phone can be swithced off or locked. Some basic settings on the app itself to choose the camera (front, back, back wide angle, etc). Drains the battery quite a bit, but thats ok, if you are using it as a webcam. just connect it to the power. On the highest camera settings the transfer rate is around 18mbit per second (I guess that is re reason for the drain). You can always select a lower quality. 5 Stars, better then the DroidCam app and its free.

This app is great so far, and just saved me $127 I was about to spend on a webcam! (Using on Pixel 4xl+MacOS, btw, and it works with Zoom, Skype, and Hangouts). The Zoom issue that people mention is actually a Zoom problem in a recent update. If you use 4.6.8 or earlier, it will work fine. I do have a question, though: If I have BOTH a WiFi connection and a USB connection, which one is the default? I want to be able to force it to use USB, without having turn off the phone's WiFi radio.

Help! I installed this on Mac and using an old Android phone. Works perfectly in Photo Booth, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. But not in Facetime! In Facetime it appears in the camera list but when I choose it, Facetime keeps using the laptop's own camera. Any clues how to fix this? It's a beautiful app. Smooth, fast, hi res, does not put too much load on the laptop. Phone gets hot and sucks battery but that's fine, it's on a tripod and plugged in for power.

I used it to convert my old Samsung S7 into a PC webcam. The video quality is great. However, after trying it for a day, it keep disconnecting every 5 minutes and automatically reconnecting. I cannot use it if it for any video conferencing and casting if it keeps dropping connection. I thought if I purchased it the problem will go away but it didn't so I got a refund. Also, the Microsoft Camera app does not recognize it as a camera. It only recognize the iVCam app. As far as video quality Iriun is compatible to iVCam and is cheaper. If it doesn't keep dropping out on me I would have chosen Iriun.

For those of you wondering what comes with the "Pro" version (because the Dev doesn't tell you for some strange reason) - the premium price tag gives you exposure lock, flash on/off, image mirror, and zoom bar within the Desktop companion app. The phone app doesn't change much, except for exposure lock and ability to disable the Iriun logo in the settings. It's pretty uninspired and anticlimactic but I bought it anyway to support the Dev. I hope this encourages them to put more useful features into the app, like exposure controls (brightness, contrast, etc.) and maybe mic volume control.

Really impressed how well the app works using usb, and how easy it was to get working. Haven't yet tested having more than 1 camera set up, but will update this review as I do. Way better experience than the fiddly competitor DroidCam. Update: as of 3 days ago (December 2021) usb stopped working for more than just me, and will only connect via wireless, which I don't enjoy.

Refuses to connect over USB, and if USB Debugging is turned on, it connects wirelessly for a minute and then drops the connection. Needs an update with clearer instructions of what type of USB connection (ie Transfer, Tethering, Etc) and the current problem not detecting a USB connection fixed. I'm using Windows 11 with a Galaxy S21, and windows can see the phone, can connect to the storage, and Windows Phone Link works fine, but Iriun Pro does not.

Superb. Video is clear with no compromise of quality. I can live without mic input, since ADC in pc is always better than in mobile phone. So, mic attached on pc is giving better quality. The only downside is, it seems hard to connect with new phone. Say I have two phone with this app installed. After I disconnected first phone, then connecting second phone via "USB", I need more than two try to successfully connected.
