Update: March 1st 2024; Ring app seems to be working very good now. I had a problem with the Disarmed/Home/Away buttons disappearing from Dashboard usually when putting phone in either Airplane mode, or switching from WiFi to LTE mobile data, and the only way to get them back was to reinstall the app. But that has not happened recently, thank you! One thing to be aware of, is on a Samsung A11 phone after 8 Nest notifications, if you do not clear them, you will stop getting notifications.

Why is it that whenever you go to watch a recorded video clip, doesn't matter how many times you start the video from the history feed that the first 2-5 seconds of the video is blurry? This has been an ongoing issue on multiple properties and high speed internet or LTE connection leading me to believe it is an app issue. Why not play the video only once it is fully buffered? Really annoying trying to spot the movement that triggered the recording when everything is blurry and pixelated. This☝️

So many issues with Ring, have had the system for years. I have excellent WIFI, small space but Ring cameras are sticky, laggy, not as clear, and spaced out more in the blue motions than it ever has previous. Been on hold for the Ring car camera for almost 2 years for them to cancel it out on me too! Bad service. Quit blaming connections/consumers! Blue motions are hard to review; sticky and now live motions are disappearing. This is not good security!

Delayed notifications, missing videos, constant notifications for squirrels and cats, and no notifications for cars. Notifications sometimes are very delayed even though my connection is great. when I walk past the camera, I'll get notification about 30 to 40 seconds later, even though in the settings, I set this app to never sleep. I can't believe that in 2024, we still can't disable notifications for squirrels and cats, but yet it will completely ignore any cars.

Poor live view functionality, certainly not instant view. Negatively affects efficacy of security camera. Works well when I need it in a casual setting, but it takes way too long to load when I actually need a quick live view. Live view may as well be called "approximately 1 minute late view". Just my own experience. It's not terrible but these things have become somewhat challenging.

Return your ring if you still can! A yearly subscription required for it to do the only useful things it's for? What a joke... Motion sense has been something we've had for ages, endless things come with motion sense features, but Ring wants you to pay yearly for motion sense features. A normal camera and a separate motion sense alert device will work as well, or better, and not cost you for the rest of your life just to use it. I'm officially done with Ring. Replacing with a system that actually works. Ring records every car that passes, but has repeatedly ignored people entering my property. Ring video consistently freezes, is pixelated and fails to stay connected. Ring is great if you don't care about safety. But if you care about safety, like I do, Ring is the worst option you can pick for home security. For the record, I gave ring a 10 month trial. Nothing but problems since day 1.

Motion detection videos have gotten more and more delayed. Appearing minutes after the motion, so whoever was there is gone already... Latest update killed the entire app. No longer getting notifications, can't open any videos, videos are logged but completely screwed up to the point it shows nothing, it shows the first movement of the day when you open the app (for the entire day)...... FIX THIS UPDATE!!!

My floodlight was working ok but now, less than a year later, I'm getting absolutely no notifications. When I was getting them, I had it set to only alert me for people and not motion, but it wouldn't. It would alert me for spiders and wasps, but missed half of the people. Update. March 2024. The light goes on and off with nothing to trigger it and now the entire camera cuts off at least a dozen times each night. Of course the yearly price increased as well. Buy something other than ring.
