When you first install the app it immediately asks you for subscription money before you can even see what the content is. The app also shows you can continue without creating an account, but it errors and says "An account is already linked to this device", which isn't possible as this is a brand new phone. Terrible first impression that shows me where the developer's priorities are. Profits over people.

Didn't know it's a free trial, and kiiiinda downloaded this app to help me with anxieties revolving around things like finances, so, well, it was good while it lasted, but I feel like the "subscription surprise" should be made clear. Other than that, if you can afford it, it's def recommended.

Useful app! One suggestion is that it would be really effective if a transcript/subtitle is added for Theory lessons. I find it difficult to follow in certain places due to the accent and couldn't get the names of the greek philosophers referred to in the converstations. Else , this is an amazing app for practising stoicism.

When someone hears me say I practice stoicism, they think I mean the modern definition of the word. This app perfectly captures the way the men themselves would have taught it! We are not cold or empty inside. We simply look at things in a different light. I'd give it 10 stars if I could!!

Good good app! It provides you plenty of free informative and helpful guided meditations. It's a nice app for people seeking to learn Stoicism and those who are practicing it. There's a bug when the app is offline, everything is plain white when you enter a meditation but you could still press the buttons while they're invinsible.

The meditations were simple, instructive, and easy to follow. I appreciate the reminders to "commit to the activity." A few new features would be nice, like saving quotes. However this app is constantly being updated with new content and utility.

An excellent app that provides both structured and unstructured ways to approac Stoic philosophy in an accessible yet challenging manner. Besides a few clunky bits of UX (swiping on quotes, button responsivenes), Stoa delivers on all fronts. From excellent readthroughs to customer support and quality of content, this app continues to delight and surprise me.

Brilliant app. I saw the Stoic section in Sam Harris' Waking Up app and became curious. Stoicism seems to encapsulate all the best and most common sense ideas from the last few millenia. You can see the basic ideas of CBT and Covey's 7 habits are all contained here. The core philosophies and techniques are built in to the app as wonderful talks, meditations and journalling.
