This app gets filed under the useless expense category. $0.99 a month to control a washer is dumb, they don't even bother putting in a local control option witch would make it way easier for me to control with open hab not to mention free. Insted maytag wants to suck away your $12 a year to use the bug filled app. I dont have much to say on the app it mostly sucks at everything getting stuck on screens ect. When it works it constantly switches my set cycle everytime I switch pages annoying.

Installed new Maytag washer yesterday and then installed application. It took a number if attempts to create account and login on the application. There was no notification that there was an email to confirm the account creation. Then that took 30 minutes as the browser waited through several clicks and "Bad Gateway" messages. Today it has taken an hour and still not able to add the washer. Lousy app!!

Used to be able to start the dryer from my phone. Now I have to press the button on the appliance to start it anyway. Useless now. Change it back and I'll give you the other 4 stars. Edit in response to maytag: yes I'm aware, every time you open the door, remote enable turns off. That's my problem. It should just always be on.

Negative 10. This app rarely works. I cant ever log into it it just spins forever at the log in part. I paid a ton of money for the appliances and this is garbage! I get notifications great, but the app won't open so I can turn the appliance back on or use any of the other features!

Like everyone else, I wasn't thrilled that it is a subscription based app, but I figured I'd try it. It was great at first, but after a few weeks I can't even log in. I will still get the messages from the dryer but not the washer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app but still can't get logged in. I'm glad this wasn't a feature I paid extra for or I'd be quite upset. I definitely won't be wasting money on a subscription!

Ever since the new release on January 24th of 2022, my washer will NOT connect to my app. Manually went to the WiFi settings through Chrome after connecting to washer directly through it's temporary access point and entered my router info. Router shows washer connected and communicating with Maytag's cloud providers SoftLayer Tech and Amazon Cloud Services. No firewall issues. I verified IPv4 packets are being sent and received.

Uncooperative app at every step. I finally got it to work on my phone but my partner is actually the one that needs it to work on their phone. I tried to do everything I could to get it for the other phone and it absolutely wont-work. Says it can't see the appliance. It's not that we don't know how to use the app or the phone. Need to make it easier for sure.

Pretty good except for one deal breaker. Every time I exit out and reopen it, it loses internet connection. The only way to get it to reconnect is to force close the app and reopen. I got really tired of doing that just for an app for my washing machine so I uninstalled. What I did like is that I was able to see what part of the cycle my washer was on and how long to go. I like to let my blankets soak in fabric softener so it was really cool to be able to pause it right from my couch.

I have a washer and dryer. The app works pretty well too tell me when a load has finished but there are a few improvements that are necessary: - tell me when the washing load is unbalanced so I can go fix it please! - add a 'delay start' feature to the app. I'd love to be able to program a load more than 12 hours from now - sometimes the washer and dryer get a bit disconnected, why can I send load settings to the washer, but not start it remotely? It defeats the entire point!
