Great, but no cartoons! Why did you leave out the cartoons, caption contest, etc.? Isn't the app finished? I'd give it 5 stars if the whole magazine were included. And no search, no bookmarks... Videos? Podcasts? Perhaps you have more Android users out there than you might think. I've waited a long time for this, and I'm disappointed.

I just subscribed to the magazine today, and was looking forward to reading the digital magazine through the app. What is irksome is that there is no feature to save/bookmark stories for future offline reading and reference, which makes it rather cumbersome for the reader. Step up New Yorker - everyone doesn't read your magazine on an iOS device.

Good to finally see an Android app. Hopefully this is the first iteration as it seems unfinished: no article bookmarking, no categories, no options for article narration, no dark mode or other personalization settings. (P.S. Ignore the fake, "perfect", all same day reviews. Never knew The New Yorker was so big in India and frankly, if not for this being an official app I wouldn't even install it as there is no reason for fake reviews except to set a foundation for scamming users.)

Hello, I have an Android version 12, but can't download the app. I get the message that the app is not compatible with my device's version - although you mention at the bottom that the app is compatible with Android version 7.0 up!! :(

If it werent for the actual content on the app i would have cancled my subscription and uninstalled long ago, advertises even after youve paid with you unable to fully exit out of the window so its just always asking you to pay more, missing core features like a dark mode, verifying your account is a huge hastle thats not straight forward and im not even convinced its even entirety necessary, cleary all the people who matter still recieve a paper copy because anything else is an after thought.

I agree with logging out and even when logged in, it says im not a subscriber - I get this sometimes on my PC, too. So frustrating. It would've been great to pass time on bus commutes. I have an annual subscription i never use now. We could've been great together, NY-er!

Works just fine on my Android. Can't understand the complaints I'm reading. Must be local issues about individual phones and connections. But I can't get out of the feedback options because there is no submit or finish option visible. Ahh...its a post option. Done.

Good that there finally is an Android app. Sorely lacks Playback speed setting, a feature which every other podcast app as well as the iOS version has. I therefore switch to the iPad most of the time.

Basically takes you to a difficult to navigate web site. For example, try reading all of the "Talk of the Town" pieces in this week's magazine. It's basically impossible. All these years and the New Yorker still can't give Android users a good experience.
