I had this app recommended from a online friend of mine, so I went and brought premium for this. Most of my time is spend studying kanji and radical drawings and it helped me getting the proper stroke order memorized given enough practice. what I like to have is "typing" as one of the answering mode option (not a fan of self validation) for recognition quizes (to work on vocabulary) and would love if you can add it in please ^^

I downloaded 9 years ago, but I didn't really seriously start learning until last year. It's a great app to have on the go. Instead of opening FB, I'd open this and learn some new words or review old ones. I like how easy it is to follow the lessons and there are explanations for every thing.

Definitely one of the more well thought out apps when it comes to learning Japanese. I like how you can take quizzes after each lesson, and if you fail, it gives you an opportunity to take it again (although you have to wait a few days to retake it, but I can understand why). My only issue is that I can't do the activities on the website due to Adobe Flash no longer being supported. Other than that, this is the only app I have been using, and it is great!

Extremely helpful app for learning Japanese!! I use a few different apps for learning and studying and this app here is really a gem. It's easy to use, looks beautiful, has a lot of different functions (also quizzes for rehearsing what you've learned) and it's obvious that the creator/developer has put a lot of thought and work into it. Best free app I've found for practicing writing kana. You can test yourself on randomly ones from all possible kana, or just hiragana or katakana, or a smaller set. You don't just pass or fail, even if you do well enough to proceed, it says how accurate you were, and you can try again before proceeding. It also doesn't matter if you write off to the side or a different size as long as it's the right shape. Also, kanji writing practice. The free version only has 110 (JLPT N5 Beginner).
