It has a name : neuro-marketing (messing up with your brain in order to sell you stuff you never wanted to buy at first place). And it really sucks.

I give this three stars because certain photos it won't work with unless they are Passport or License looking. Also I tried the app with a photo of my Dog and the results were pretty odd!

My only complaint is that they keep removing filters. There used to be a Joker, Borat and ethnicity filter in addition to various others that have disappeared. They were amazing. I'm also not sure why everyone is complaining about the price of a monthly subscription. It's a yearly sub and handled nicely via Google Play's subscription service.

It's pretty entertaining I gotta say, though it seems to think everyone is a woman even if they have a full beard, which I mean makes it even more hilarious, but I wish I could actually get a good one that doesn't make me look like a bearded lady. Works very well on my gf, picture looks exactly like her, mine always look a bit distorted and almost nothing like me. Gives everyone 'betty boop lips' for some reason which is also hilarious.

Thought I would use this app to make a fun portrait of my mother who passed a few years ago. And every picture turned her into either a white woman or a lighter-skinned person. This app is clearly not for POC, so be forewarned about that.

If you are Black or have black(maybe ethnic) features, pass this up it basically removes all your Black features and replace them with eurocentric ones, all the way down to the hair. I was so disappoint to be changed to a woman i didn't recognize or a man. They need to fix that.

On the browser version, you were allowed to select any image and the AI would attempt to paint it, on this version, it will my work if detects a face. Big bummer as I wanted to use non faces aswell.

The actual portrait creation part of the app is perfect. But any form of instructions on how to use the controls would be very appreciated, as i have yet to figure out how to download the final product (without instagram).

Its a pretty solid app, my only gripe is that it doesn't have any recognitions of non-caucasian features. I'm a black man, and it somehow turned me into a lost member of The Beatles. Once that changes I may use it more.
