Not Bad For A Freebie:) So I installed this FTFC app a few months ago and so far, so good. If you can live w/the ads it does pretty much everything a cellular no. is supposed to do. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to send SMS w/audio, pics and small video clips in via messenger something my google voice no. can't always do. The no. choices with the various area code options are also cool too.

This is an app with a lot of potential, but a vast number of issues. The top 6 issues below are mostly user interface issues, and user experience ones, but are important to note before you sign up (1) it is a sales engine for multiple numbers. I have signed up to 4 numbers. I have many premium packages. Yet, I have no idea what I've paid for, and which numbers "expire" and when (I seem to get many notices that if I don't use my numbers at least once a week, they will be cancelled) (2) incoming

so far working great, has some garble in calls some times if you have satalite internet (your internet speed varies a lot) but call back and it straightens up, on fast wifi its great. good dial back in with ring with call waiting and it beeps to inform of incoming call. the adds are just in a little window at the bottom of its call page and are there to see when you are dialing and one pops up at the end of a call, but they just brush off, none left in phone to torment

App worked great up until I needed an activation code for my banking. I felt like I was being extorted by FreeTone because the activation code could not be seen by me until I paid for a premium subscription. So much for being free.

Need more options. Can't send picture messages. Can't put voicemail on speakerphone. Can't change theme of app to dark mode. Just as many options as possible. And it's very hard to answer a phone call: doesn't turn screen on, no main screen notification. when it rings, no proper notifications especially if doing something else when it rings! Fix these issues and I'll give 5 stars....

This app has way too many ads. Very annoying. I only use it for texting and it is horrible. Normally when a text comes through the phone should vibrate when set on that but this app does not. I have double checked all the settings. All I get is a small notification at the top of the screen and if I miss it then I won't know I have a message until I open the app. Has potential but for now this app is not one of the good ones.

This is by far the best Wi-Fi calling and texting app. It is actually really free, no hidden gimmicks or no hidden fees. The only thing I say that could be different is the ads. I mean you have to pay $2.99 to even register and then weekly, they want another $4.99. And sometimes the ads go over your messages so you can't see messages sometimes. Other than that this app is fan-freaking-tastic

This was my first call on the Freetown calls and text. I called my sister. she came through loud and clear. I'm still in the trial stage, so I'm not exactly sure of how it's going to play out? But the signal and the reception were excellent, thank you, freetone!
