I like the Ys series, and this seems like a worthy continuation. Making the transition from playing as Adol to being his sidekick was an interesting move, and it's sensible for an online game. The character models are fine, but the chibi models on the loading screen are cuter and made me wish that's what the game looked like. What I don't like is the autopathing for questing and exploration. With that in the game I don't see myself playing much longer unless I can turn it off.

This is disappointing, no point in adventure when you can just click on your mission and it'll take you right there. I hate Games like that... What's the point

When a game refuses to start with unnecessary permissions, it's usually a red flag. Games only need storage permissions when you plan to upload files. They can save data inside it's own folder. This game requests storage, which can access private information without further permission. Additional warning that it used copyrighted content illegally for FB/YT ads. I personally reported this and had the ads removed by Nintendo.

The game have the potential to be really good ,but the company behind it decides to turn it into a money grab by adding countless pay-to-win elements.

I like it so far. But few things I do wish that were a bit different. I wish they had an option between male or female for every class options. I would like to be an assassin but be a female or be a mage but be a male. That would of been nice touch. Also I wish it was on PC. Some things don't fit on the screen of my phone and it drains battery fast. Plus since the buttons are so small it's easy to accidentally click something wrong. But overall this game is pretty good. Needs English voice

Thought I'd give it a chance as a fan of the Ys series. Yes that includes reading through the terms and conditions etc. The gameplay caps at 29 and in every single way they try to force you to buy from them, via a "limited one time offer". The controls, graphics aren't bad but damn did you screw up a beloved franchise by adding money to get anywhere. If you find yourself plastered with offers to buy something in a game instead of having the gameplay speak for itself you've messed up horribly.

Does not work on Android 13 for some reason. Phone requirements do not list this. Just says Android 5.0 and up. Such a shame. Huge series fan and was looking forward to playing this. Update: works now. Beautiful art, controls well, and story is what I wanted from the series. Doesn't necessarily add anything new to the genre, but fun and pretty for sure.

This is a pretty fun game however after a certain point becomes repetitive and you can't progress without maybe a little bit of payment or a guild that is willing to carry you. There's so many modes and things to do in this game and the storylines pretty compelling. The learning curve is kind of hard as there is so much going on.

The game is just a shallow reflection the actual Ys VI, just buy Ys VI on PC, or even PS2 or PSP if possible, it's way better. The level of hand-holding in this is insane, I feel like I have zero agency when "playing" this. Also the constant push for the player to recharge is entirely obnoxious, seriously, two prompts to recharge before I can even play. Falcom, don't allow this to happen to anymore of your games, which I am an avid fan of, Ys VI Online is a disgrace to the Ys name.
