Concord, the upcoming shooter from Firewalk Studios, is preparing to launch its open beta test soon. The beta will roll out in two phases: an early access phase for pre-order customers, followed by a fully open beta accessible to everyone four days later.
Here's how and when you can jump into the open beta of the upcoming shooter Concord, slated for release on PC and PlayStation 5.
The shooter Concord from PlayStation, initially underwhelming in its first trailer during the recent PlayStation State of Play event, is gearing up for its debut open beta. This test will serve as the first opportunity for players to gauge whether Firewalk Studios' inaugural title warrants a purchase or not.
In line with contemporary gaming norms, the beta will roll out in two phases: early access for pre-order customers followed by a fully open beta available four days later.
Early Access Beta for Concord will commence on July 12th and conclude on July 14th. Following this, the Open Beta phase is scheduled to start on July 18th and wrap up on July 21st.
During the beta phase, players will have access to four maps: Freewater, Start Chamber, Water Hazard, and Shock Risk. Below are some screenshots showcasing these maps:
1. Trophy Hunt: This mode operates on a respawn basis, where teams battle to eliminate members of the opposing crew and collect their bounty cards to score points. The objective is to reach the target score before time expires to win.
2. Cargo Run: In this mode, there are no respawns. Teams race to retrieve the Blue Buddy robotic package delivery system, plant it in designated zones, and defend it from rival crews to secure victory.
3. Clash Point: This round-based mode also features no respawns. Teams compete to control a single capture zone located centrally on the map, aiming to dominate it for victory.
During the Concord beta, players will have access to a roster of 16 "Freegunners" to choose from, as confirmed by Firewalk Studios. These characters represent the full lineup that will be available at the game's launch, allowing beta participants to experience each of them firsthand.
