Developer Shift Up has rolled out an exciting new update for the acclaimed PlayStation 5 action game, Stellar Blade. Launched last April as a timed exclusive for the PS5, the game received predominantly positive reviews from critics and quickly became the best-selling title of its release month, a remarkable achievement for a new intellectual property.
Since its debut, Shift Up has consistently supported Stellar Blade with updates that incorporate player feedback and introduce fresh content. While new outfits for the game’s protagonist, Eve, have been a focal point, the developers also added features like the Great Desert Oasis during the summer event.
The latest update brings a wealth of enhancements that Stellar Blade fans can now download. Notably, the summer event has transitioned to a permanent feature, allowing players to toggle it on and off at their discretion. Initially intended as a limited-time event, this change will surely delight fans who want to experience it at their leisure.
Additional updates include the ability to mark pins on the in-game map, the introduction of the Ammo Package—an item that enables players to replenish all their ammunition in one go—and a new purchase confirmation feature to prevent players from unintentionally overspending when attempting to buy items worth over 15,000 gold at once.
One of the most significant updates addresses "visual improvements of conflicts between Eve's body." This adjustment means that in cutscenes where Eve's arms might clip through her chest, they will now be repositioned to avoid this visual issue. Stellar Blade has always been bold in showcasing Eve, and this update takes that commitment a step further.
While Stellar Blade enthusiasts will surely enjoy the new update, there's even more to look forward to. It has recently been announced that Stellar Blade will feature a crossover with Nier: Automata, bringing the beloved character 2B into the game. Details on the full extent of this crossover are yet to be unveiled, but fans can expect more information in the coming weeks.
Additionally, Stellar Blade fans will soon see Eve in a different light. A VIP Bot inspired by Stellar Blade is set to appear in the critically acclaimed 3D platformer Astro Bot as part of its fall update. While an exact release date has not been confirmed, players can anticipate Eve's bot version making her debut sometime between now and mid-December.
