South Park: Snow Day Introduces Two Exciting DLC Packs

The multiplayer action-adventure title South Park: Snow Day has just unveiled two fresh DLC packs that significantly enhance gameplay options, including a new stealth-oriented weapon type. The newly launched packs, Good Times with Weapons and Nichole's Home Brew Story, are the first additions since early August and promise to deliver more fun to players.

Released on March 26, 2024, South Park: Snow Day has already rolled out 13 different DLC packs, expanding its content since launch. Continuing the narrative established by previous South Park titles like The Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole, players once again assume the role of The New Kid, engaging with fantasy-themed versions of beloved characters from the series, such as Princess Kenny and a wizard version of Cartman. However, unlike its turn-based predecessors, Snow Day embraces a dynamic four-person, squad-based action-adventure format, featuring a mix of human and bot allies.

Initially, players had access to just three melee weapons, but earlier DLCs introduced sickles and hammers to diversify combat styles. The Good Times with Weapons pack, inspired by a fan-favorite, anime-themed episode, allows players to upgrade their magic wand to throw ninja stars at foes. This new stealth weapon feature also includes additional upgrade cards that appear as players advance through levels, offering enhancements like increased speed, heightened damage per hit, or temporary invisibility to evade enemies. The pack also introduces five new cosmetic items, including a ninja star accessory for the eye and a fun emote.

The Nichole's Home Brew Pack not only adds the new ninja weapon for squad play but also introduces five customizable rulesets to elevate the game's difficulty and encourage strategic innovation. For instance, the Air Superiority rules provide players with a permanent Moon Shoes buff, boosting ranged weapon damage while diminishing melee attacks. Conversely, The Floor is Lava introduces damaging zones across the game maps, adding an extra layer of challenge. This pack also offers seven cosmetic additions, four of which feature iconic hats worn by the main characters.

Fans of the classic turn-based South Park games have something to celebrate, too. For those with an Xbox Series X or S, South Park: The Fractured But Whole became available on Xbox Game Pass on October 16, providing an opportunity for players to catch up on The New Kid's story and experience a different gameplay style from the series.
