For the past several months, whispers of a new collaboration between Mountain Dew and World of Warcraft have circulated widely. These discussions intensified when images of the WoW-themed Mountain Dew Game Fuel began surfacing online, building excitement among fans.

The rumors have now been confirmed! Mountain Dew Gaming announced on Twitter that Game Fuel is back with two exclusive World of Warcraft flavors. Citrus Cherry makes a triumphant return, originally featured in the first collaboration years ago, now adorned with artwork of Thrall, the legendary former Warchief of the Horde, alongside the menacing Lich King.

Joining it is Citrus Blackberry, a vibrant dark purple drink showcasing Alleria Windrunner and her formidable foe, Xal’atath—the Harbinger of the Void and a significant antagonist in WoW: The War Within. Both flavors will only be available for a limited time, so players should grab them while they can!

Longtime World of Warcraft enthusiasts may recall the inaugural Mountain Dew promotion from 2009, which boasted Alliance- and Horde-themed flavors, exciting sweepstakes, and a captivating CGI commercial showcasing an epic supermarket showdown between an Orc and a Night Elf. Fans who still possess the original Mountain Dew bottles from that collaboration hold onto them as cherished collectibles.

Previous collaborations between Mountain Dew and various games have offered enticing in-game rewards and real-world loot in exchange for codes found on Game Fuel products. For instance, Final Fantasy 14 featured a Mountain Zu mount as a reward. Currently, however, there seem to be no associated Mountain Dew Gaming Rewards for World of Warcraft, though this may evolve in the future.

This is not the only partnership involving World of Warcraft at the moment. Trolli has also launched a range of World of Warcraft-themed products that allow players to earn an in-game Gummi worm pet. Additionally, by purchasing qualifying Trolli items from stores like Dollar General, Walgreens, or Circle K, fans can unlock one of three distinct Classic tabard transmogs.
