A recent leak regarding Genshin Impact has revealed that fans of the popular Cryo character, Shenhe, will have to continue waiting for her rerun banner. Since its launch over four years ago, HoYoverse's beloved RPG has introduced a rich and varied cast of characters. The developer frequently brings back past characters through rerun banners with each update, giving players another chance to obtain powerful favorites they may have missed.

However, one character has been notably absent from the rerun scene for quite some time. Shenhe, who first appeared in Version 2.4, has become a fan favorite thanks to her unique combat utility. Her abilities not only enhance the Cryo damage of her teammates but also reduce enemies' Cryo resistance, making her a valuable asset for Cryo team compositions.

Shenhe has often been paired with other strong Cryo damage dealers like Ganyu and Ayaka. Unfortunately, her much-anticipated return to the limited gacha banner seems to be delayed even further.

Shenhe Rerun Not Happening in Version 5.2

Recent information shared by notable Genshin Impact leaker hxg_diluc, in collaboration with fellow leaker DK2, has clarified the status of Shenhe's rerun. The leak indicates that Shenhe will not be featured on any rerun banners during the upcoming Version 5.2 update, which is expected to roll out in November.

This news is particularly disappointing as Shenhe has not been available for players to obtain in-game for over a year. Her last appearance on a limited gacha banner was during the Version 3.5 update, when she shared the spotlight with Ayaka.

Shenhe's absence in Version 5.2 means she now holds the record for the longest period without a rerun among five-star characters in Genshin Impact. She hasn't featured in any of the limited gacha banners throughout the entire Fontaine cycle, with her last showing during the Sumeru arc. Furthermore, the Cryo element has seen a noticeable drought in new characters, with the last addition being the four-star character Charlotte in Version 4.2.

New Cryo Character on the Horizon

While the wait for Shenhe's rerun continues, there is some good news for fans of the Cryo element. Leaks suggest that a new character from Natlan, named Citlali, is likely to debut in Version 5.3, expected to become the newest Cryo addition to the roster. Citlali is rumored to be introduced alongside the much-anticipated Pyro Archon, Mavuika, during this update.

Cryo enthusiasts can take heart that they won't have to wait too much longer to see their favorite ice element return to the forefront of Genshin Impact. Keep an eye out for more updates as the release approaches!
