In late September 2024, Mojang rolled out the "Bundles of Bravery" update for Minecraft, a smaller update with some exciting additions. This update finally introduces Bundles, a feature teased almost four years ago, and brings Hardcore Mode to Bedrock Edition's Realms. Although Hardcore Mode has long been part of Java Edition, players were initially expecting a relatively light update.
However, the Minecraft Java 1.21.2 update goes beyond expectations, delivering a variety of fresh features and enhancements. One notable addition is the introduction of baby variants for dolphins, squids, and glow squids, which Bedrock Edition players have been enjoying for a while.
In addition to these, Mojang included more features that were previously exclusive to Bedrock, such as the Field Masoned and Bordure Indented banner patterns. Let’s dive into the full patch notes to explore all the new features and changes introduced in the Minecraft Java 1.21.2 update.
Bundles
- Bundles allow players to stack different items together in one inventory slot.
- Each Bundle fits one full stack of 64 items but can contain a mix of various item types.
- Items can be inserted into a Bundle directly from the inventory, with a tooltip showing its contents.
- If fewer than 12 items are inside, the tooltip shows all; otherwise, it displays the top three rows, with additional items hidden below.
- Players can choose which items to remove from the Bundle by using right-click or the scroll wheel.
- When selecting items, the Bundle icon will show the chosen item poking out.
- Players can also empty the Bundle onto the ground by holding right-click.
- Bundles can be crafted with one String and one Leather.
